Visit to Arbutus VFD Train Garden – Jan. 4, 2014

By Steve Meyer

On Saturday, January 4, 2014, a large group of GBMAFC members met for lunch at the G&M Restaurant in Linthicum, Maryland. G&M is known for its colossal crab cakes, and a good number of us ordered these delectable treats. Since we had snowy weather the week before, the roads were heavily salted. Everyone drove their modern cars.

With full stomachs, we then made our way to the Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department to see their annual train garden. Much work was done by the volunteers to organize and arrange the 24th version of the train garden. Attention to detail meant a job well done! We all enjoyed the time spent together and look forward to our next outing.
