A Trip Back In Time by Steve Meyer
On Saturday, December 7, eighteen club members gathered at the B&O train
station in Ellicott City. Those present were myself, Jon Miller, Ron Fayer, Butch Cornes, Ken and Vicki Miller, Andy Passmore, John Flester, Mike Grear, Jack and Carolyn Burke, Jim and Joanne Gregory, Milt Hartig, Pete and Connie Lee, Dave Kehne, and Bud Carroll. (I may have missed a few other names—sorry!) It was a great turnout for a very cold and blustery day.
The museum included a train layout in the freight house, a little red caboose, and more train layouts in the main station. After viewing the various displays, most of us hopped in our cars and followed Kenny Miller the “back way” to Dimitri’s Restaurant. (Read about this activity in the January 2014 Newsletter.)
