On Friday, March 14, eleven members attended Dave Yingling’s collection of antiques and collectables. It was a cold morning but four members drove their Model A’s, most for the first time since Christmas.
Dave has a garage full of toys, marbles, signs, business machines, pedal cars, model cars, etc. We then ventured into the house to enjoy and marvel over other collections including more marbles of many types and sizes, pictures, books, wood carvings, crystal figures, furniture, antiques of many kinds, and much more. Finally, Dave showed us a bedroom that had Marilyn Monroe pictures, posters, and a life-size cut-out covering the walls and ceiling.
After leaving Dave’s, most of us had lunch at the Sunshine Burger Joint where the food and service is great but the old store has limited room to sit. We did, however, manage to squeeze in.
