DESCRIPTION:This event was cancelled by Steve Meyer on October 25\, 2018 due to bad weather forecast for the area for October 27\, 2018.  This event will be rescheduled sometime in 2019. \n9:00 AM — GBMAFC Catoctin Mountain Picnic\, Catoctin Mountain Park and Cunningham Falls State Park. Thurmont\, MD; Contact: Steve Meyer\, 443-285-3890. \nThe group will meet at the Route 26 and Route 97 park and ride\, departing at 9 am. Then we will travel to the parks via routes with 2 covered bridges arriving at the Cunningham State Park Visitor Center between 11:00 and 11:30 am. After the Visitor Center we will travel through the Park and park our cars by Hunting Creek lake; those interested can walk to the falls. If weather permits\, please bring a picnic lunch. There are plenty of picnic tables by the beach area. If temps are below 60 or too windy\, raining\, etc.\, then we will plan to eat at one of the local restaurants. Remember to dress for fall and be flexible for the changeable weather this time of year! \n
