Sunday, December 14 was a great day to drive a Model A. It was cold, but clear, with no snow or ice on the roads. It was not surprising, given the weather, to see that six of our members decided to venture out in their Model As: Ken Godfrey, Milt Hartig, Bud Carroll, Dave Kehne, Ken Phoebus, and Chris Millirons drove their decorated A’s to the annual Christmas Party held at the Westminster Elks Lodge.
Approximately 70 members were in attendance and after Barb Kehne’s blessing we enjoyed an excellent buffet meal together. After dinner we were serenaded by the “Never Too Late Band” from the Carroll Lutheran Village.
Special mention goes to Milt Hartig, who decorated his Model A in festive lights and snow. With dusk falling as we left it was literally glowing in the dark!
It was a wonderful afternoon enjoyed by all! Thanks to all who attended and to Dave Kehne, Butch Cornes, and Don Keller for hosting this event!
