Workshop at John LeBon’s Garage – Oct. 19, 2013

by Ron Fayer.
Butch Cornes arrived early with coffee fixin’s and donuts, spread a tablecloth over the baby grand piano stored at one end of the garage to serve as a table, and found extension cords for the coffee pots. By the time the 19 other club members began arriving around 9 o’clock, breakfast was ready. John had hauled the piano for a customer and not wishing to simply dispose of it, has stored it in the garage. Time and weather changes have left it in need of tuning and additional repairs but Gary Goldman sat down, stroked the keys, and coaxed a few tunes that briefly set a festive atmosphere.
